Assessment of the present state and prospects of development of regional market of meat and meat products
Abstract
The market of meat and meat products take a special place in the food market as these products traditionally occupy a prominent position in the food ration of the population of Ukraine. The transformations in agriculture have significantly affected the state of affairs in meat sub complex. The decline in purchasing power has led to a double reduction in the consumption of meat and meat products. The fall of demand has affected both the production of livestock and poultry meat, and the production of its products. Meat Market is a part of the food market and represents a mechanism of mutual relations of economic agents, which is in the process from production to product distribution. Not only the supply of the population with meat products, but also food security of the state depend on its level of the development.
