Functioning and trends of livestock industries development in the regions

Abstract

Introduction. The development of animal husbandry in Ukraine in recent decades is characterized by the considerable decrease in the number of animals, reduction of areas under feed crops, decline in livestock production, structural changes in the organization, placing and specialization of livestock industries. However, in the last period the livestock industry show trends of recovery and economic growth due to the use of state support and other regulators and leverage.

The method (methodology).Tendencies of development of livestock in the regions are considered in the article. The basic animal husbandry sectors are enumerated.  The conclusions about the trends are made up and the ways to increase production are determined.

Results. Analysis of the situation in the livestock industry in the regions of Ukraine has shown the presence of processes of destruction of productive forces and the degradation of the rural environment. The relevance of these studies and other problems has become obvious.

Scope of the results. Proposals for the restoration of the potential of the industry and providing people with food are universal. They can be applied in any region of Ukraine.
