Introduction. By analyzing, systematizing and summarizing the research work of many scientists and economists, we have considered the ways to address the organization of work on the design and implementation of monitoring functions in the functional development of the system of strategic control of the regional structure and territorial organization of the agro-food sector. They are the individual design, increasing number of organizations that can design functionally developed subsystem of economic monitoring, training of the required specialists.

Purpose. The purpose of the article is to form a paradigm (sample) of the universal methods of creating of functionally developed systems of the strategic control of the regional structure and territorial organization of the agri-food sector and their use in the design and implementation of monitoring subsystem.

Method (methodology). The following methods constitute the theoretical and methodological basis of scientific work: the dialectical method and the basic positions of the economic monitoring subsystem, the strategic adjustment of the regional structure and territorial organization of the agri-food sector. In the process of the study the following research methods have been used: method of abstract logic (for theoretical generalizations and conclusions); monographic method (for the study of theoretical and practical methods of formation of functional systems of strategic control of the regional structure and territorial organization of the agri-food sector and their use in the design and implementation of monitoring subsystem); comparative (in analyzing the state of formation of functional systems of strategic control of the regional structure and territorial organization of the agri-food sector and their use in the design, implementation of monitoring subsystem).

Results. It has been realized an important direction of development (genesis) to improve the organization of economic and analytical support to the functional development of the system of strategic control of the regional structure and territorial organization of the agro-food sector, which is based on the universalization of the design decisions as for the monitoring subsystem and functional development of its creation etc. Among the prospects for further research in this area we can single out the question that is related to the organization of the computational process in the design and implementation of the economic monitoring function in the strategic adjustment of the regional structure and territorial organization of the agri-food sector. Further development of monitoring subsystem can lead to the replacement of traditional monitoring subsystem by the functionally developed one. It will be a system of economic and analytical support with the profound use of the concept of methodologically grounded paradigm approach.
