The essence of environmental management and competitiveness of the enterprise
Abstract
The subject of this work is the environmental management and competitiveness of the enterprise. The purpose of the paper is to define the essence of such categories as environmental management and competitiveness and also is to research the main aims and connections of environmental management and competitiveness of the enterprise. The dialectical method of scientific knowledge and such general scientific methods of knowledge as the method of theoretical synthesis, the method of analysis and synthesis, grouping and classification methods, the method of comparative analysis are used in paper.
The analysis of theoretical approaches concerning the definition of environmental management nature is made in paper. The historical development of environmental management is researched; as a result the basic stages of environmental management development in the developed countries are defined. Basing on critical analysis the main approaches of defining the environmental management are formed. The competitiveness nature is also researched; as a result the direct interconnection between environmental management and competitiveness’ growth is determined. The main aims of environmental management and competitiveness are defined; their implementation will result both ecological and economical effects and will help enterprises to achieve the additional competitive advantages and increase the total competitiveness.
