Method of competitors ranking for passenger transportation

Abstract


The most important criteria for efficient operation of passenger transport are the safety and comfort of passengers and the reduction of time spent on the trip. Therefore the carriers of passengers should be considered from the position of competition and their rating determination.

The purpose of this article is to describe methods of the motor service passenger transport quality measurement in the conditions of competition with the use of multicriterial analysis with the help of apparatus of fuzzy sets.

Part of the data carriers is measured by qualitative scale. So in order to make these date comparable it is necessary to perform the transition from the values of different types of criteria to their fuzzy estimates, which are measured by one quantitative scale.

To sumer it up we  should propose the method of carrier selection in conditions of different types of data with the use of fuzzy sets theory, which includes 9 criteria and allows to determine not only the winner but also to rank all carriers-applicants.

The apparatus of fuzzy sets is used in this study. It allows to formalize unclear identified parameters of passenger transport services, improve efficiency of bus transport in the transport system of the city and reduce subjectivity of decision making in solving such tasks on the basis of the analysis of passenger service indicators.
