Abstract
Introduction. Investigation of the structure of the organization is one of the most important areas of modern management. Especially if it concernes the functioning and impact of informal organizational groups. The study of these groups will help understand the factors which affect the enterprise activity, optimize the structure of the organization, prevent the manifestation of negative factors etc.
Purpose. The article aims to study the impact and role of informal organizations, groups, which can come up in any staff and the efficiency of structural elements of the company.
The method (methodology). Research methodology is based on the principles of methodological pluralism, dialectics, interdisciplinary approach. The theory of organizations is the basis for the methodology of management.Modeling is a common method of research.
Results. The study proves that social progress has had an impact on the evolution theory approach of shifting them to humanism, ideas of social individual. Therefore, the relationship of formal and informal organizations should be considered from the perspective of the relationship: formal organization gives life to an informal one. The latter upgrades the formal one without letting it disappear. There are a lot of positive examples of informal organizations, such as trade unions, corporate culture and more. They help to keep a situation in the team in good psychological condition, become the restraining factors in terms of outflow rate. Along with this the informal organization may affect the company and its closure. In our opinion, this dual characteristic of informal organization requires a clear classification. On the basis of the method of analogy, the following several tiered classification of organizational structures should be used: working one (formal); auxiliary one (unofficial - positive); protesting one (unofficial - negative). This approach will help to look at informal organization as at the required structural part of the formal organization, to differentiate positive and negative aspects of its existence and to contribute to a more complete study of this phenomenon.
