The meaning and role of the logistics management in the management system of enterprise

Abstract

Introduction. In recent times Ukrainian economy has  operated on the edge of default. The gap between the Ukrainian and the world economy becomes wider every year. Continuous crisis, political, social and economic unсertainty, war actions in the county have a detrimental effect on the current stage and development of all economic sectors. To save and strengthen its positions on the market the enterprises should respond quickly and adequately to the changes of the external environment. Defining and implementing new methods of administration will maintain sustainable development of enterprise and strengthen its positions on the market. The concept of Logistics Management is one of such methods.

 Purpose of the article. This article aims to justify the advantage of applying the concept of Logistics Management.

Results. The challenge of logistics management is presented in the article. The main principles which pose difficulties in the implementation of the new management methods have been analysed. The main scientific approaches to the logistics management are defined and described. The organizational subsystems of logistics management at the enterprise are also systemized and described. We have come to the conclusion that it is reasonable to implement the management principles which are based on logistics in order to provide competitive advantages and increase the competitiveness of its own production.
