Outsourcing as an instrument of competitiveness of engineering company
Abstract
This article raises the problem of the crisis situation the engineering industry as one of the main industries of Ukraine. The work is devoted to questions of optimization of business processes.
It is determined that nowadays outsourcing is one of the most promising tools for optimizing the company cost.
It is indicated that outsourcing has its advantages (increasing profitability, attracting other people's experience, reliability and stability, flexibility, business scale) and disadvantages (threat of default privacy, human factor, efficiency of implementation of actions in service of infrastructure). The cost of outsourcing is often higher than the cost of internal accounting staff. The above reveals the main purpose of the article.
It is noted that Ukraine has some undeniable competitive advantages for the development to provide outsourcing services. This contributes to a good geographical location, quality education system and research institutions, relatively developed industrial infrastructure.
We have also examined the dynamics of sales of engineering products in Ukraine. It has been analyzed the situation with the state of the engineering industry during the period 2010-2015.
The methodological basis for the study is a set of scientific methods of systematic and comparative analysis. During the study we have used such scientific methods of knowledge as analysis, synthesis research, comparison, economic and statistical analysis.
The study of the topic has dealt with many domestic scholars. Among their achievements there is a number of definite conclusions in which the scientists have formulated and indicated some shortcomings of this tool to optimize costs, assessed on prospects of outsourcing in Ukraine.
The article provides the suggestions for improvement of the situation in machinery industry of Ukraine and product competitiveness of the industry through reforms with the use of outsourcing.
Conclusions on the topic which reflect the new direction of optimizing costs, advantages and disadvantages are very useful for economists, investors, analysts, politicians and other stakeholders.
