Economic mechanisms of development of innovation activities of enterprises

Abstract

Introduction. The current state of innovation activity is characterized by low innovation, institutional incompleteness, inconsistency and imbalance of technological, economic and social aspects. Analysis of multi-vector category "innovation" enables specification of its nature and gives an opportunity to offer the author’s interpretation of this concept. So, the importance of systematization of knowledge in the field of innovation form becomes the actual reality. It helps to distinguish the fundamental aspects.

Purpose. The aim of the article is to  review the conceptual basis of innovative capacity of Ukraine's economy. Such generalization will help to form proper theoretical and methodological study on the basis of research of trends in innovative activity of entities.

The method (methodology). A set of systemic, dialectical and comparative analysis, which has ensured the comprehensiveness of research of innovative development, is the methodological basis of the research. In the process of study of the conceptual apparatus we have applied such scientific methods of knowledge as analysis, synthesis, scientific generalization, comparison, system approach, the method of component analysis, economic and statistical analysis.

Results. On ther basis of scientific and practical papers we have singled out the essential problems of innovation activity of enterprises of Ukraine.  The conceptual approaches to the definition of innovation are systematized. The assessment of current trends and the potential for institutional support of innovative development are proposed. The theoretical and methodological basis of its technologies in Ukraine is formed. It will enable a proper ascending of prerequisites to strengthen and develop competitive advantages of entities.  The basic tendencies and prospects of further development of innovation in our country are revealed.
