Method of assessment of regional sustainability
Abstract
The essence of the concept of "sustainable development" is specified. It generally includes social, economic, environmental and other aspects of development. Features of methodical approach for accessing the region sustainability are grounded. They mean the formation of a single aggregate indicator and the construction of indicators. The analysis of options for calculation of sustainable development on the basis of studied approaches for sustainable regional development is carried out. According to the results of evaluation there has been suggested the author’s methodology, which is to form a single integral indicator of sustainable development, comprising five standardized indicators of sustainable region development. It can be attributed to the first approach. The technique makes it possible to analyze the relationship of single indicators in different units and cover a wide area of research.
