Analysis of the dynamics of price changes in food marketing chaines in Ukraine

Abstract


Price dynamics in milk, meat, bakery and oil marketing chains on macrolevel in Ukraine are investigated. Essential exceeding of price rates of butter, cheddar, liquid milk and meat food producers over price trends of farmers and retailers are determined. Conversely, the processors and retailers of bakery food and oil performed a growth rates that are less than corresponding indices of grain and oil-seed prices. It is detected the influence of vertical integration and coordination, enlarging of businesses, quantity of market competitors, export oriented branches on price proportions in food marketing chains during 2005-2011.
