International competitiveness of the countries in the realities of the innovative movements of industry 4.0
Abstract
The country's international competitiveness is one of the determining factors in its economic growth. The determination of key factors and the analysis of the experience of advanced countries in ensuring a high level of welfare in the context of the modern development of industry and the use of information technologies are gaining importance. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the directions of increasing the international competitiveness of countries in the realities of Industry 4.0.
The essence of the international competitiveness of countries is investigated in the article. The factors that affect it at the macro and micro levels are systematized. It is proved that countries that have an innovative component at the heart of their development strategy have achieved leading positions in the ratings of economic development and international competitiveness. The essence of the concept of Industry 4.0 has been investigated and the tools with which it finds practical implementation have been analysed. Based on the analysis of analytical data, it has been determined that countries that are leaders in innovative development through the use of industry 4.0 tools such as cyber physical systems, the Internet of things, big data processing, a smart enterprise and city, product lifecycle management, cloud computing, and additive manufacturing have formed and realized their competitive advantages by increasing the competitiveness of products and enterprises.
Based on the results of the dynamic correlation analysis of technical and economic indicators, the features of the development and formation of international competitiveness have been divided into three groups of countries: with high, medium and low levels of innovation activity. In order to increase the level of international competitiveness of Ukraine, it is advisable to implement the experience of countries of the first and second groups of countries.
The prospects for further global distribution of countries in terms of their competitiveness have been determined taking into account the spread of the provisions of the concept of Industry 4.0. Based on the results of the study, proposals have been formulated to increase the level of international competitiveness of Ukraine. It has been done in the framework of the concept of sustainable development in the conditions of Industry 4.0. by adhering to a concentration strategy in priority sectors of the economy, which will allow rational distribution of available resources and, if necessary, attract foreign ones.
