Methodological framework formation and functioning of regional economic systems in a single economic space
Abstract
Introduction. The issue of economic space integration has many various aspects: the geopolitical and regional economic basis, the involvement of the economic security issue and the relationship with the level of domestic market integration that should secure goods and capitals free transit between the regions on the country, as well as with the issues of business activity legal regulation and regional balance in distribution of economic centers and trade flow. On the base of these aspects the economic space integration is a topical academic and practical issue.
Purpose. The purpose of the thesis is to highlight the principles of country’s economic space unity, to analyze the role of the state in trans-regional integration improvement, to discuss the economic space unity as the criteria of general national economic system endurance, to evaluate the use of geo-economic approach to the regional systems separation, to review the regional systems as the local segments of the world economic system, to systemize the criteria of regional systems’ classification, and to propose the definition for the regional space system.
Results. The definition of the regional space system is provided. The interpretation of regional development in the framework of post-industrial paradigm under the globalization is proposed. The criteria of the regional system’s separation are defined.
