Approaches to evaluating the efficiency of performance of public sector of economics
Abstract
Introduction. Today the problem of disengagement of components of public sector of economics exists because of the vagueness of approaches and interpretations of this important element of economic system and due to the emergence of formulation of new approaches to understanding public finance in the conditions of globalization and regionalization. It also exists a necessity for developmentof improved performance criteriafor evaluating the effectiveness of public sector of economics in general and its individual elements in particular.
Purpose. To highlight the main approaches to understanding the categories of «public sector» and «state sector», to formulate criteria for structure and efficiency of public sector institutions, to understand new ways of functioning of public finance in the conditions of globalization, to offer improved efficiency parameters of public sector of economy.
Results. The content and components of public sector are described. It has been proposed the change of vector understanding of public finance phenomenon in the conditions of globalization. The criteria of the public sector institutions efficiency are defined.
