Nature and components of professional staff competence in the competitive environment
Abstract
Introduction.The paper highlights the main aspects of the content and nature of the concept of professional staff competence. The definition of professional staff competence in the competitive environment has been introduced on the bases of researched sources. Key components of professional competence in the competitive environment have been highlighted that are based on functional and personal approach. It has been stressed on the necessity of forming moral, social competencies that determine the competitiveness of the specialist and ensure his success.
Purpose.To analyze nature and meaning of the definition of professional staff competence and its components in the competitive environment.
Method (methodology).The works of domestic and foreign scholars were used as methodological and theoretical basis for the research.
Results.Professional competence should include moral, personal and social components that are formed on the basis of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The main components of the professional staff competence is a number of core competencies that ensures efficiency and competitiveness of the specialists. Professionally qualified staff provides high working efficiency in the competitive environment.
Conclusions.Professional staff competence — is a professional and authorized capacity of individual to carry out his authority and professional activities. It is a wide range of professional knowledge and skills that can be used in different situations. Professional staff competence must include personal and social components, determined by the activity of the individual to work together as a team and to achieve the goal. Professional competence is based on the theoretical knowledge of the specialist, his practical skills, relevant personal qualities and life experience, which helps to carry out professional responsibilities and ensures a high level of self-realization and competitiveness.
