Analysis of socio-economic development of the regions of Ukraine in the crisis

Introduction. Problem of the analysis of the socio-economic development of regions is constantly in the focus of regional management theory and practice. However, in the current crisis conditions it has become particularly important as the crisis economic conditions require the development of effective and efficient mechanisms for managing complex territorial systems. Having been based on the latest scientific achievements they effectively addressed urgent problems of overcoming the crisis with minimum negative social and economic consequences, and also helped to prevent a crisis at the meso level.

Purpose. The aim of the article is to analyze the socio-economic development of regions of Ukraine for crisis prevention as an element of a crisis at the meso level; to identify the core causes of the crisis of economic and social development; to develop the proposals for improving preventive crisis management.

Method (methodology). The main methods that are used for the analytical study can be devided into the following: analysis and comparison (for establishing  a structure and a set of primary indicators for the analysis and evaluation of socio-economic development of the region), the economic and statistical methods (for processing of statistical data analysis in the evaluation of the socio-economic development of regions of Ukraine for the crisis; strategic analysis ( for identifying and ranking the regions in terms of the crisis).

Results. The article analyzes the socio-economic development of regions of Ukraine in order to identify regions of the crisis from the perspective of preventive crisis management of socio-economic development of the region. the The main reasons of the crisis of economic and social development are identified. The possible ways to reduce the negative impact on the socio-economic development of regions of Ukraine are  justified.
