The analysis of the international tourism market of Ukraine
Abstract
In the article the current international tourism market situation of Ukraine in comparison with trends of development of the world tourist market is analysed. The main features of its formation and prospect of further development are defined. It has been determined that growth rates of the domestic market of the international tourism are lower than in other developing countries, but they exceed growth rates of the developed countries. It is found out that the tourism potential of Ukraine is not disclosed in full, as evidenced by the significantly lower proportion of the tourism industry in the structure of GDP (2. 3%) in contrast to the world average level (9%). The structure of the world market of tourist services in value term is researched. The average direct income per tourist in Ukraine in comparison with other countries is analysed. The main feature of the Ukrainian market of the international tourism is considerably smaller than average cost in other countries, which is caused by a considerable share of tourists visiting friends and relatives from the nearest countries. Trends of an inbound and outbound tourist stream of Ukraine by directions and purposes of visits are analysed. The structure and size of the international tourism market in value terms are defined. The market research of the international tourism of Ukraine which has been carried out. That will allow to predict its further development and define the features of its transformation in the future.
