Mechanism of formation of the gasoline price and the ways to reduce it in an unstable political situation
Abstract
The article describes the pricing mechanism in the chemical industry of Ukraine. The possible ways to reduce the gasoline price, as well as the practical ways that can be applied in the current unstable political situation in the country are considered.
Introduction. Ukraine is in a tense political situation. This situation could not help to affect the state of the economy as a whole. However, the issue of reducing the gasoline price is the usual one for Ukraine. So in 2012it has been developed a program that allows to reduce the price of petrol, to weaken the influence of external factors of the industry, and to allow the creation of new job positions. The above program was expected to start working in January 2014. But due to the change of the government in the country it has been suspended, which, together with other external factors led to a gasoline prices spike.
Purpose. The aim of the article is to find the most effective ways to reduce the gasoline cost at the current situation in Ukraine.
Method (methodology). In this article we have used the following methods: analytical, statistical, and the method of observation and collection of facts, the method of the system approach, the graphical method.
Results.
-pricing mechanism in the chemical industry of Ukraine has been analysed;
-government program to reduce the cost of gasoline for the period 2012-2015 years has been studied;
-influence of the political situation on the rising cost of gasoline in the country has been evaluated;
-ways of overcoming of the current crisis in the petrol market in Ukraine have been proposed.
