Introduction. The subject of the article is the economic security potential of transport expeditionary enterprise.

Purpose. The purpose of the article is to conduct the structural analysis of economic security potential of transport and expeditionary enterprise as well as model design of its breakdown.

Method (Methodology). Research is carried out by means of general scientific methods of abstracting, analysis and synthesis. For identification of the similar and distinctive constituents of potential, the methods of economic analysis of its constituents are used. The place and the role of the transport complex of Ukraine in effective development of national economy are defined. The basic subjects of this complex are identified. It is established that among the subjects of economic management of transport industry in Ukraine the largest share is occupied by transport and expeditionary enterprises. The indexes of goods turnover dynamics, profitability (unprofitability) level and personnel average quantity of subjects of economic management of transport industry are analyzed.

The analysis of dynamics of these indicators testifies the reduction of its amount during the last three years. It is proved that the determined tendencies also relate to the transport expeditionary enterprises. The modern approaches for the structure and content of potential constituents of enterprise economic security are investigated.

The common and distinctive features in its structure are determined. The author`s understanding of enterprise economic security potential in general is formulated both on the whole and concerning the transport expeditionary enterprise in particular. The breakdown of enterprise potential constituents is carried out. It unlike the existing resources and possibilities takes into account the constituents of the rights and competences. Potential of possibilities of transport and expeditionary enterprise is examined not only as market and corporate possibilities, but also as group and personal business contacts, connections, relations and influences on subjects of interests (agents of influence), and decision makers.

Results. It is argued, that competence potential of transport and expeditionary enterprise is an integral constituent of its strategic assets which reflects the complex of collective knowledge, experience and capabilities of enterprise.

All such competence constituents as unique, key, strategic and functional ones substantially influence sthe potential of economic security of transport and expeditionary enterprise. The enterprise potential consists of objective, subjective and integral constituents. In its turn, the objective constituents are differentiated according to the types of economic activity on innovative, operating and financial directions. Significant attention is given to the research of the operational constituent structure. It is composed of spatial potential (space, territory), natural and climatic, chronopotential, infrastructural potential, personnel etc. Practical significance of research includes suggestions on potential strengthening of the transport and expeditionary enterprises, due to optimization of its constituents.
