Development of the stock market of Ukraine

Abstract

Introduction. Nowadays Ukraine focuses its attention on the development of small and medium-sized businesses. It requires additional financial resources. Functioning of the stock market contributes to attracting of cheap and long- term resources and ensures the creation of a reliable financing system of economic development, which leads to the formation of favourable conditions for business. It requires the development infrastructure of stock market, transparent pricing of financial instruments, as well as creating favourable conditions for liquidity of primary placement and necessary registration of property rights.

Purpose. The research of the main trends of the Ukraine’s stock market has become the purpose of the article.

Results. The research deals with the formation and dynamics of the Ukrainian stock market. The structure of the securities issue, the peculiarities of the stock market and its impact on the country’s economy are investigated in general. The trading values of the stock market and stock exchanges during recent years are analyzed. The obstacles and problems of the market are detected. The ways of further development of the stock market in Ukraine are suggested .

It has been determined that dynamics of Ukraine's stock market tends to increase, as well as its future prospects in the context of European integration processes.
