Introduction. The paper indicated that current approaches to the assessment of potential logistics companies do not take into account its dynamic nature, which appears in the sequence changes state formation and implementation.

The method (methodology). The application resource and cost method for the evaluation of logistics management potential. Resource method used for the purpose of structuring potential and determine the appropriate analytical tools (blocks, groups, subgroups, partial indicators). Cost method based on relative terms the share of logistics costs and efficiency of logistics activities, according to assess the effectiveness of formation and implementation of logistic capacity of enterprises.

Results. Established that partial indicators that form the lower level of the structure of the evaluation of potential logistics enterprises are considered as factors that cause changes effective (costly) indicator. Use of multivariate correlation and regression analysis allows to determine resource performance factors, a change which has predominant influence on changing the effective rate of formation and implementation of logistic capacity and therefore combine resources and costly methods in a methodical approach.

The article stipulates that the evaluation of development and degree of potential enterprises should be achieved on the basis of comparison (actual) indicators with their targets. These goals responsible taxonomic analysis method, which involves determining taxonomic (integral) index. It is proposed to carry out the calculation of two taxonomic indicators – the degree of development and implementation of logistics capacity. They are recommended to carry out a comparative analysis of the positions of influence on the overall efficiency of logistics management in the enterprise. Further studies should lead to the identification of possible taxonomic index estimates the relative value scale using methods of fuzzy logic.

Scope results. Proposals for the evaluation of logistics capabilities are universal and can be used in any industrial enterprise.
