Analytical evaluation and extrapolation of dairy market functioning

Abstract

Introduction. It has been characterized the market of milk in Ukraine as one of the leading sectors of the economy that provides people with food. The analysis of the milk market and its products as a part of agriculture complex has been conducted. The opportunities and trends for its further development at the present stage of market economy are revealed.

The purpose of the article is to study the dynamic changes of unstable market environment of milk producers and enterprises of processing industry, to justify the opportunities to improve the efficiency of dairy market and to identify the strategic policy framework for the development of agricultural enterprises through a combination of government regulation and market self-regulation.

The method (methodology). On the basis of statistical methods and economic analysis of the company production and processing of milk the tendencies and forecast of the state of milk subcomplex AIC are determined.

Results. The current dairy market of Ukraine loses in comparison with the developed countries.  To be more precise it loses according to the main indicators of production efficiency, productivity, technical and technological security, energy intensity and productivity of animals. Therefore, in all areas without any exception the production should be conducted on the basis of scientifically based, economically-reasoable systems and technologies that take into account the climatic conditions, the potential of the region and country in the world economy and world best practices.
