Analysis of dynamics and structure of the Ukrainians’ savings, their role in national economic growth
Abstract
Introduction. Activisation of processes of social reproduction, ensuring the competitiveness of the national economy and its growth require to deepen the attention to the problems of the Ukrainians’ savings formation, their involvement in the processes of national investment. The population’s savings determine the capability of the national economic system to create a new capital. They play an important role in the economic circulation of the country and ensure supply and demand at the investment market.
Purpose. The article is aimed at grounding the theoretical and methodological foundations and development of practical proposals concerning savings formation and their active involvement in the economic circulation to ensure the economic growth in Ukraine.
Method (methodology). For the objective research the methods of system analysis, structural-functional analysis, economic-mathematical and statistical analysis are applied.
Results. The dynamics of savings of the Ukraine’s population and directions for their use are analyzed. The main factors influencing the volume and structure of savings are found out . The role of savings in the economic growth of Ukraine is assessed. The basic problems of formation of savings and the trends of activisation of saving processes to ensure economic growth are defined.
