Strategic estimation of the logistic operators in the supply chains of goods of daily demand

Introduction. FMCG Industry is attractive for logistics service providers because of the fact that it forms the huge market across the country and brings goods directly to consumers, plans the supply chain or ways of satisfaction of consumer needs. Before the providers of logistics services in FMCG industry is set a wide range of particularly high requirements concerning quality, seasonal prevalence, allotment of the specific services, because they serve not only manufacturers, but also provide a range of services to meet the everyday needs of millions of consumers. Precisely owing to service of the different cliental groups and products with different levels of seasonal prevalence and seasonal fluctuations the logistic operator has the opportunity to reach the economy of the scale, which in its turn improves the performance of the whole supply chain.

Purpose. The purpose of research is to justify the theoretical and methodological development of regulations and scientific suggestions on the selection of logistics operators in the supply chain of goods of daily demand.

Method (methodology). The study used method of comparison, method of analysis, method of synthesis, method of abstraction and theoretical logic synthesis. The dialectic method of investigation is the methodological basis of the research.

Results. The necessity of awareness of the strategic role of logistics operator in the supply chain of goods in the FMCG-industry is justified. It has been proved the increase of influence and strategic importance of logistics operators, increase of the competition in the market, the growth in share of discount-markets and supermarkets in the structure of retail trade. Also It has been grounded the necessity of quick reaction to changing demands and needs of customers, the service of different food groups with different levels of seasonal fluctuations, the procurement of consumer goods over the Internet, the allotment of logistics operators with additional services regarding the formulations in terms of returning goods, the development of appropriate mechanisms to provide quick, economically efficient satisfaction of customer’s requirements.
