Analytical estimation of the credit relationship between Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund

Abstract


The article has defined the legal framework and directions of cooperation of Ukraine with the International Monetary Fund. The value and the role of loans of the International Monetary Fund in Ukraine under conditions of the economic and social reforms to overcome the economic, financial, banking and currency crises are disclosed. Conditions of granting credits of IMF by various mechanisms of lending, particularly Systemic Transformation Facility, Stand-by Arrangements, Extended Fund Facility, and their effects on the economy of Ukraine, are considered. Periods of cooperation between Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund are analyzed. The effects of loans given by the International Monetary Fund to Ukraine in different periods of cooperation are identified. Advantages and disadvantages of cooperation of our country with this international financial organization are determined. The possible results of their impact on the economy on credit conditions in future are investigated. The need for further development of cooperation between Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund in the context of reforming the economy, financial and banking systems, social services is substantiated.
