Some estimates of agriholdings compared to other types of agricultural enterprises

Abstract

Introduction.In Ukraine the process of implementation of reforms is characterized by inconsistency, inefficiency, and ambiguity of influence the industry and the rural population. The strategy of market transformations in agrarian sector should be based on the estimation of positive effects of reforms from the point of view of reaching the determined social and economic consequences and threats. In modern conditions the agrarian complex mission should not only ensure food security but also create the appropriate framework for the economic welfare of rural residents and rural development. An effective way to ensure this state of AIC is the concentration and specialization of agriculture production using mechanisms of integration, cooperation and cluster forms of regional cooperation and corporatisation in the so-called “ agriholdings”.

Purpose. The purpose of research is to substantiate the holdings advantages in comparison to the other types of agricultural producers, due to the benefits of large-scale production, investment in agriculture and support of rural development.

The method (methodology). The study used the method of analysis of agro market structure; method of assess of market performance in terms of achieving not only economic but also social goals; methods of theoretical, historical and logical generalization.

Results. The main results of the study of the nature and importance of agricultural holdings as a new integration forms of organization of management in the agricultural business and possibilities of development in the transition to land relations market-oriented and theoretical generalizations are grounded in the article. The theoretical and practical issues of evaluation of holding companies through its impact on their social functions are presented in the research.
