Assessment of the probability of a crisis situation in trade of Kharkiv region

Abstract

Introduction. In the conditions of dynamic and unstable external environment companies must develop the effective ways to counter the negative impact of a wide range of factors which influence business environment. Implementation of mechanisms of crisis management at the micro level is the process which should interact with other systems of social and economic relations, that act on mega-, macro-, and meso- levels. In these conditions the issues of probability of occurrence of a crisis situation in the area are of particular relevance. The results of this assessment provide background information for the development of a set of measures of a preventive nature to ensure "mitigation" of the impact of the area crisis on the company activity.

Purpose. The aim is to develop benchmarks and to study methodical approach to assessing the probability of a crisis in  trade of the Kharkiv region.

Results. The research aims to develop the criteria for assessing the probability of a crisis. The methodological tools of qualitative evaluation of the probability of occurrence of a crisis in the trade on the example of Kharkiv region are tested.
