Problematic aspects of fixed assets in terms of the process of adaptation of national accounting to international standards

Introduction. The European choice of Ukraine, entry into the global social and economic system require adjustment of legislation with generally accepted accounting practices in international standards and principles.

Fixed assets occupy usually a large share in the total capital stock of the company. The final results of the company: output, its cost, revenue, profitability, stability of financial condition largely depend on their quantity, value, technical level and efficiency.

To form a complete and accurate information on financial and economic activity of the enterprise resource characteristics, evaluation of balance sheet property, you must have a clear idea of the value of its assets, which make up the largest share of fixed assets.

Goal. The purpose of the study is theoretical substantiation and development of recommendations and proposals for the conduction of fixed assets in terms of the process of adaptation of national accounting to international standards.

The method (methodology). The methodological basis of our study is the general position of the dialectical method of knowledge on various economic phenomena and approaches for the accounting  of fixed assets in terms of the process of adaptation of national accounting to international standards. We have used such general scientific methods as: method of comparative analysis; method of synthesis and aggregation of data; method of factor analysis.

Results. The critical analysis of international standards in comparison with the national system of fixed assets, has been carried out. The accounting revaluation of fixed assets, as well as viewing of frequency of residual value objects have been considered in the article.
