Diversification of the regions: essence, origin causes and consequences

Abstract


In the article the essence of the definition of "diversification of the region" has been considered. The key elements and priorities of diversification of the regional economy have been grounded. It has been found that the diversification of Ukraine's regions is an important aspect of realization of features of state regional policy. The model of ensuring the effectiveness of the socio-economic diversification of the region has been proposed in the research.
